An earlier version of this page listed 600-311-8321 as the main fuel filter for the PC200-8, on the strength of aftermarket fitment lists that group the -7 and -8 machines together. Checking it against Komatsu's own published figures for both numbers, that was wrong, and we have rewritten the page rather than leave a wrong number up.

The two elements cannot be the same part: 600-311-8321 is published 145 mm high on a 1-14 UNS thread, and the -8 element 600-319-3750 is published 174-176 mm high on a 7/8-14 UNF-2B thread. Komatsu's injector failure guide names 600-319-3750 as the fuel main filter for the PC200-8M0, PC210-10M0, PC220-8, PC300-8, WA200-6, WA250-6 and WA430-6 — that is the number to buy for a -8.

What This Element Really Fits

600-311-8321 belongs to the six-cylinder generation that came before the common-rail -8 series: aftermarket fitment lists put it on PC300-7 and PC360-7 class excavators, WA430-5 and PC450-6K loaders, GD655-3A graders and D375A-3 dozers. On those machines it does the same job — the fine element between the fuel supply and the injection system — and it is a stock item for us.
